Day 10: Saturday in Saint Louis
We started out Saturday morning by going to Grant's Farm. It was a beautiful day and we took a tram ride around the park and saw some neat animals. They had it decorated really cute for Halloween!
Our next stop was downtown St. Louis and the Arch!! We had fun taking pictures. A lady (who had the Nikon D80) offered to take our picture for us. She showed me some things to do with my camera and told me about this photography website. (It is an awesome, awesome website...I am super excited to check it out more!!)
After that we headed to Union Station for some lunch. The neatest thing there is The Fudgery! The workers sing and interact with the crowd while they are making the fudge. Then they let you sample some! We may or may not have walked by after a couple of shows to try out different types of fudge. =) In the end the cookies and cream fudge was so amazing that we had to break down and buy some.
This could have been a full day but we pressed on!! Our next stop for the day, and one of our major reasons for going to Saint Louis in the first place, was The CITY MUSEUM!!! This place is so crazy and unbelievable, you can't really even put it into words!! Pictures definitely do not do it justice but here are some pictures of our very fun time!! This place is a blast!! If you're ever in Saint Louis, I definitely recommend going here!!
The museum is built in an old shoe factory. Everything is made from recycled materials.
After 4 hours of contorting our bodies in ways we didn't know they could be contorted we were very sore and very bruised for a several days afterwards!! But it was definitely worth it!!!! =)
