Photography Books
Visual Poetry - I usually use my photography books as resources, but I read this book cover to cover! Has assignments at the end of each chapter and you can upload your pictures to a Flikr site developed for the book.
Photography for Scrapbookers - Even though it says 'for scrapbookers' this book has a lot of good basic picture-taking tips.
How to Photograph Your Baby - Written in easy to read language, also has a lot of good basic tips.
Portrait and Candid Photography - I use this book as a resource; flip through it to find the chapter that applies to what I'm doing. It also has assignments at the end of each chapter, which helped inspire The Photography Challenge!
Digital Photography: All You Need to Know - Ok I don't really read this book, I just bought it for the pictures =)

Inspiration
Ansel Adams - One of the greatest! His timeless b&w landscape portraits are part of what drew me to photography.
Clyde Butcher - Takes beautiful b&w landscape portraits of Florida; especially known for his love of the everglades, a love that I share. I love a story behind a picture, and he always has one.
Paul Marcellini - Don't know much about this guy, but his landscape photography is breathtaking.
Life - Photojournalism at its best
National Geographic - More photojournalism at its best
The Big Picture - A picture a day about current events
Erica May Photography - One of my favorite portrait photographers. She helped inspire this "photography challenge" blog idea.
Hope Photography - I'd have to say their work is one of my biggest inspirations...check out their blog!
Allison Rodgers Photography - A local husband and wife team that has been getting bigger and bigger...oh how I would love to connect with them
Zoe Portrait Art - Wow, just wow. And their studio...sigh...
